MARKS
My husband gives me an A
for last night's supper,
an incomplete for my ironing,
a B plus in bed.
My son says I am average,
an average mother, but if
I put my mind to it
I could improve.
My daughter believes
in Pass/Fail and tells me
I pass. Wait 'til they learn
I'm dropping out.

O meu marido atribui-me um A
pelo jantar de ontem à noite,
um incompleto pelo passar a
ferro,
um B+ na cama.
O meu filho diz que estou na
média,
uma mãe mediana, mas que
podia melhorar
se me esforçasse
A minha filha acredita
em Passar/Reprovar e diz-me
que passo. Esperem até eles
saberem
que vou desistir.
